I knew Tony Hall as a boy.
His father taught me at Naparima College in San Fernando , and I remember him as a student a couple years behind me at high school.
Unfortunately ,I was never fortunate to re-connect with him as an adult , but I’ve been extremely proud of his accomplishments as a renowned artist, playwright and screenwriter, and an important contributor to the arts and culture of Trinidad and Tobago.
Tony Hall died of a heart attack on April 27, 2020.
In this obituary, Bruce Paddington does a a far better job memorializing him than I ever could.
My sincere condolences go out to his friends, relatives and colleagues as we all mourn his loss.
May he Rest in Eternal Peace.
