A Carole King Tribute
One of my all time favorite pop/rock performers from the 1970s was talented singer/songwriter Carole King.
Probably her best work was featured in the 1971 album “Tapestry” , which is also one of the best selling albums of all time.
One of the hits on that album was a personal favorite “So Far Away” , which for some reason came into my head today , and seemed to resonate in these difficult times.
Like many of her peers from that era , Carole King was active in social events of her time , and as I checked YouTube for a copy of the original , I wasn’t surprised to find that she had updated a few verses of her classic with a message of encouragement relative to today’s crisis.
